BASIC LED Board Type 2109
The BASIC LED Board Type 2109 provides hands-on training in LED technology and modern lighting engineering. It combines classic LED experiments, PWM measurements and the use of commercially available LED lamps on one clearly arranged front panel. Integrated meters together with 230 V and 12 V connection points make the system well suited for teaching, lab work and examinations.

Fundamentals of LED Technology
The hps training system "Basic LED Board" is designed to teach the fundamentals of LED technology and extends the hps lighting engineering product range with a compact practical training device.
It supports basic experiments with 3 mm LEDs, two-colour LEDs, infrared LEDs, RGB LEDs, display LEDs, red, yellow and green LEDs as well as bright and ultra-bright LEDs and 10 mm LEDs.
Drive Circuits and PWM Measurement
The board supports investigations of drive circuits such as blinking LEDs, voltage and current source circuits, PWM and LEDs operated on AC voltage.
A 12 V LED matrix field with adjustable pulse-width modulation is available for PWM experiments. The frequency can be varied to investigate the optimum drive frequency; individual channels can be switched off and frequency measurements are available via three BNC sockets.
Current measurements on the PWM signal and oscilloscope display of the PWM are also possible. Different glass covers allow visible comparison of colour change, luminous intensity, beam angle and light temperature.
Lighting Engineering with Commercial Lamps
The BASIC LED Board allows the use of common LED lamps with GU10, GU5.3, GX53, E14 and E27 sockets. Standardized lamp holders make it easy to exchange LED lamps from different manufacturers and with different operating parameters.
In practical use, the system supports measurements of current, power and light distribution. The 230 V lamps are operated via 4 mm safety bridge plugs and current measurements can be carried out with standard multimeters.
Mechanical Design and Use
The front panel is made of 5 mm laminated fibreboard in matt blue and engraved with white symbols matching the installed functional groups. The rear side is protected by a robust grey plastic housing.
The BASIC LED Board can also be mounted in a carrying case. The case is used for safe transport and storage, and all experiments can also be performed directly in the case.
