Type 5130
MOTOR BOARD Type 5130
The MOTOR BOARD Type 5130 is a universal speed control system for power electronics, control engineering and communications technology. Its built-in four-quadrant amplifier, integrated four-quadrant indicator and optional temperature and brightness extension make it a versatile training system.
- Universal speed control system for multiple training areas
- Expandable with a plug-in module for temperature and brightness control
- Integrated four-quadrant indicator for visual operating-status monitoring
- Variable centrifugal mass for adjusting the time constant
- Dual-channel encoder for direct speed and direction detection
- Built-in four-quadrant amplifier for forward and reverse operation
Application and operating principle
With the MOTOR BOARD, hps SystemTechnik provides a control system that can be used in power electronics, control engineering and communications technology.
The board implements a universal speed control setup in compact form with a machine set consisting of a DC motor, DC generator, tachogenerator, dual-channel encoder and variable centrifugal mass.
Four-quadrant operation and indication
A DC power amplifier is built into the MOTOR BOARD for direct connection to a controller or a PLL circuit.
By rearranging the plugs, the amplifier can be used only for the positive current direction or for both current directions. This enables true four-quadrant drive operation.
The current operating state of the machine set is monitored visually by a four-quadrant indicator with four LEDs.
Extension for temperature and brightness control
For temperature and brightness control, the plug-in module Temperature and Brightness Controlled System Type 5125.5 is available.
The MOTOR BOARD provides a connection field wired with voltage dividers for actual-value acquisition of temperature and brightness.
The Temperature and Brightness Controlled System is not included in the scope of delivery, but is listed as recommended accessories.
Mechanical design
The front panel of the MOTOR BOARD is made of 5 mm thick laminate, matte blue in color and engraved with white symbols representing the integrated functional groups.
The rear side is covered by a grey plastic housing whose shape allows the board to be placed at an ergonomic angle on the desk.
An adapter field serves both for adapting 4 mm to 2 mm connections and for plugging in two adapters with BNC socket and 4 mm connectors.
