Hands-On Parallel Interface Operation
LPTwin lets users observe and modify the register contents of a parallel interface. Characters, strings and control signals can be sent via the parallel interface to a training board, a printer or a simulated printer.
The software shows the effect of printer messages such as OFFLINE or Paper Empty and displays the handshake protocol as a timing diagram.
Use with a Training Board
LPTwin can optionally be used with the INTERFACE TRAINING BOARD Type 3855. This makes the parallel interface easy to explain in a realistic, practice-oriented setting.
The software is designed for Windows systems and is available only as a multi-user license.
